Captain Dana R. Gordon, United States Navy (Ret.) is the founder of DR Gordon Consulting, a leadership development and process improvement consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations and executives achieve operational excellence. Drawing on over three decades of leadership experience, Dana blends military precision with a collaborative coaching style to help clients unlock performance at every level.

Career & Publications

A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Dana is a former Navy helicopter pilot, amphibious aircraft carrier commanding officer, and industry process improvement engineer who has led teams in high-stakes environments across the globe. During his 30+ year career, he has developed deep expertise in organizational leadership, operational readiness, and talent development — skills that now serve corporate, government, and manufacturing clients alike. He has published two books, TEAM (Training, Education and Mentorship) and LEAD (Leading, Empowering and Developing) and uses the fundamentals, philosophy and insight from each of them while working with his clients.
